Learn More About Our Gunsmithing Service.

Gunsmithing is a very general term, but some things that are included under that umbrella would be: optic and slide cuts, custom engraving, mounting and bore sighting a rifle scope, reworking a trigger on your 1911, and considerably more.  Since there is so much included under this umbrella, please reach out with the quote form describing what you need, and we will get back to you with some personalized care and conversation.

For non-serialized parts, fly fishing reels, auto accessories, etc. you ship it directly to us and we can ship them back to anyone or anywhere you specify.  For serialized parts or whole handguns, it is required by law that a person that does not possess a valid FFL must ship handguns by 2nd day air with a contract carrier (UPS, FEDEX).  AND we are required to ship it back to the address that is listed on your government issued ID (i.e. driver’s license, passport, military ID, etc.) that you provide. When shipping these types of items, please include a legible copy of this of identification. Long guns can be shipped with ground service by the USPS or a contract carrier.

You can use the cart on the website, send a check or money order, or request an invoice upon project completion with a link to the pay portal.  All projects must be paid in full before they are sent back to you.  If projects are left unpaid for 30 days, the project may be sold to compensate for our time and labor.

There will be many factors for completion time.  Depending on backlog, custom colors or stencils, and typical busy seasons, your project can take a bit longer.  In general, we like to say 4-6 weeks, but we will get more specific when we contact you after submittal of the quote form.

Our Cerakote services have a lifetime warranty, excluding normal wear and tear like holster rub, or nicks from dropping or abuse.  If your Cerakote ever flakes, peels, or chips due to our workmanship, we will refinish it with shipping paid for.

Please reach out to us and we can talk about the specific situation and how we can correct it.

Please see Cerakote’s website for all the questions and information you may need: https://www.cerakote.com/cerakote-vs-other-coatings.
