Gramma’s Cupboard

From Grandma’s Cupboard:

Over-salted the beans: add a raw potato while boiling.

Fudge won’t set up: put it back in the kettle and bring it to a boil again.

Chicks with poopy bottoms: add 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar to qt. of chicks’ drinking water.

Chicken lice from the barn on the kids: make them play outside. Chicken lice keep traveling. They leave children as fast as they can.

Healing a sick chicken: soak up to the neck in warm water with 1 c. dissolved Epsom salt for 5 minutes. Release to dry in the sun.

Bleeding kitchen cuts: sprinkle with chili powder.

Gluten-Free Flour Blend

In a gallon jar:

2 pounds white rice flour

1 pound sweet rice flour

2 c. tapioca starch (flour)

¼ c. beef gelatin powder

¼ c. corn starch

Lid up tightly and shake to blend. Use 1:1 to replace wheat flour.
